In case anyone is wondering why I did a leather job on the Deluxe version, yet painting this one with the seats, my thinking is as follows:

With the Nissan GTR, I'm not sure if I will be able to leather or even paint the seats with enough detailing, so I thought that I would try both options on a 1:25 scale car first....... Crazy I know, but a lot less expensive than the GTR ....... Well that's the theory    :)

My first attempt at piping the chairs in "Chevy Red" AKA Humbrol 60 for this standard version of the 1966 TV Batmobile isn't too bad, even by my own standards. :)

Whilst they do need some lining out, I am quite pleased with the initial result:

I've also lined in the door panels tonight.

Since then I've added another gloss varnish to both them and the seats to see whether they will go matt, re: the timing on doing things, or whether the timing is based on the paint to varnish......

If that makes any sense! :)

Thanks Casp, :)

I'm not too sure what was the easiest, doing this or leather the seats on the Deluxe Batmobile  :)

A bit more work in progress.

The internal door panels have now had a dab of silver (quite pleased about those), the console similar, and the Robin for the deluxe version of the Batmobile is just glad to be vaguely painted/dressed (ablbeit not lined in yet) now !

Seats look great Pual. I think paint looks much better than leather in this scale.

For what it's worth, I have a 1/12scale Tamiya Caterham. The seats were black with a fairly heavy texture. Rather than paint them, I just polished them with Tamiya coarse, then fine rubbing compound. This polished the seats on the sticky up bits, and left a Matt, textured finish in the recesses. Looks really effective.
Cheers

I've just remembered that I haven't finished this one

To make matters worse I've now mixed up the remaining parts from the Deluxe version and all are in the same box !!!!
