You have some good detail of the turbine and drive shaft Paul

Hi Casp,
I'm going to have to find some reference pics for the colours :)

As I've not yet sorted out all the colours, mainly the Chevy red, I'm just going to see what little I can do in the interim.
Not only that, I need to stock up on paint as well !

I was just about to start complaining that you've bought a fully painted model but the special edition (and the fever as I'm in bed again) has calmed me down ;)

Hi BA,
The basic version is mainly painted, though not e.g. the fire extinguisher and the silver behind the seats etc

Also, a correction of the clear parts, as the windscreens need silver adding on the edges

Hi BA,
Correction again.......
Even with this version, apart from the body shell, nearly everything needs a paint job ! :D

A pic of the wheels and the tyres, hopefully showung all views:

The Bat spinners can't be fitted until the wheels are fitted to the chassis.

I think the chrome is fine for this size of model, so I hope the rest of the chrome parts are fine as well !

I've fitted the floorboards and transmission tunnel as a dry fit to the chassis.

I'm thinking on spraying them all in one go as I think they will all be matt or satin black....

Any comments or thoughts are most welcome on this !

On the Deluxe version, the brake discs are also supplied, though not on this version

I've decided to paint the steering wheel on the spruce for the silver (not too sure if incorrect or not!), though it will need to be taken off it to paint the black:

Image

On the Deluxe version, this steering wheel, and another one is available - there are so many options on the Deluxe version of the car !

For the Deluxe version, I'll go with the other steering wheel which is like the one on the 1:18 scale die cast model

To give you an idea of size, the steering wheel is a lot more smaller than a 1p piece.

The chassis has been sprayed in Humbrol 85 (coal black) which is a satin finish and I've also started to paint in the underneath of the Turbine engine in silver:

A bit of a first paint job on the chassis, though it will need another coat and then lining in:

Well the it does say snap together on the box.
Still leaves it open as to what or whom will be doing the snapping.
Needs more fusewire

With the seats on this one, I think I'll paint them as I have seen a nice pic of a replica one with red piping on the seats....

All just a thought at the time though ! :)

I've just sprayed the seats tonight with black, and then the gloss varnish........

The reason being my failure on the Deluxe version, so I'm hoping for another matt finish......

What's the bets that they turn out gloss this time, as they should have done with the DEluxe version .....?! :laughing-rolling:

Flipping typical, yes I do have a gloss finish on the seats ! :angry-banghead:

Oh well, I'll try lining out later and see what happens .....

Hi Casp,

Yes, however, as BA has mentioned before, it's on the drying time.

Today each coat took 15 mins to dry and then the next coat applied.

However, I've just done the red piping on one seat, and hardly any re-lining in is required :D
