Postby Mustang » Sat Mar 15, 2014 10:18 am

Right here is the poll for Road Transport in a scale of 1/8.

The other is because there is alway someone that would like something else, so if you vote other you could post the item below.

This is all just a bit of fun. ;)

why in heavens name the e-type or the aventador = let us have something original and not cars we've already had,
let us build a xjs and a miura instead...
after all a manufacturer would need to see how many he can sell - I own 6 e-type kits and suppose I wouldn't  buy a partworks version...

Those two were my suggestions, as I haven't seen them as a proper Partwork kit

well, I'd suggest you build the e-type kit you have and dream of something different as a partworks car... ;)
and don't tell me you'd buy an aventador after the pocher kit you're just building??!

oh jesus, sorry to tell you paul but you're in the same game as many manufacturers: do something that is already available - that has killed many interesting cars -
the ferrari GTO was once available from 10 different companies in 1:43 scale as all thought it would be a great idea and an even better business -
and no one made money as you cannot replicate customers at will -

what the game should be is do an intersting subject that was previously unavailable...

and you cannot build up a business on a few crazy ones: i'd of course buy another 1:8 scale db5 it someone else (pocher?) made one, but I am an insane aston collector...
you would like another lambo as you'd like to see the parts, the bad delivery schedule, the mismatching painwork, the stupid customer care
think of it, how many pocher customers would go for another aventador as a partworks car instead of buying the roadster from pocher....

and of course we'd buy everything if money was no objective - reminds me of looking up if I won the euro-lottery yesterday...

...and just having looked up the votes, it's interesting you've suggested the model but you haven't voted for it - yet (as it has received no vote so far...)

The lambo was put up as an idea, not necessarily what I've voted for......!!!!!!! :)

How about some 50s-60s British classic like the Frogeye Sprite, Lotus 7 (XK120 is an excellent choice too), Triumph TR3, MGB GT? Or some nice saloons, like a Morris Minor, Hillman Imp or Ford Escort Mk1? And there's 4x4s like a Land Rover, Toyota Landcruiser or Willys MB?

I'm not including the obvious like the Mini or Fiat 500, although they would go straight into my personal collection.

Don't forget BA, that most people don't have the Revell E Type kit. The model needs to be popular, not niche, to be a successful partwork, and I'm sure they would sell far more E types than XJS models.

How about throwing on the MGB ?
Cheers
