NECA 18" Terminator 2 T800 Endoskeleton

Postby casper » Mon Jul 28, 2014 5:49 pm

I have had this figure for some time and always wanted to take it apart and re-paint it.
The figure itself is a really nice example and looks very similar to the real one from the film but the parts have flash and joint lines all over them. I decided to take the whole thing apart and sand and fill the said areas, this took ages so i thought the best thing to do was to have a diary to refer back to when putting the parts back together. I may replace some parts with better ones along the way and some parts will be pinned for strength.
first a pic of the box and figure from Google as my box is tucked away somewhere safe

Great looking model but would look so much better with metal pistons

The back of the T800 looks pretty good, all joints and some of the pistons move and the spine has separate segments

Nice figure. It would look a whole lot better with some variety in the colour and a bit of weathering ! Looking forward to this rebuild :D
Cheers

You have to remove the small half circle pieces so you can get to the screws to take the body apart, these can be glued back when finished
