I take it no pun intended

You may of notice in one of the previous photos, the camera picked up some glue resin on the sky background, this was rectified as you can see in the next photo.

Mos Eisley coming along nicely, I've lined the floor with sand paper and made some buildings from sandpaper. The rocket type thinning (I've no idea what they are or called, but are in the film) was made from bottle tops, straws and matches. This is not screen accurate and will be painted.

The rocks were painted.

Mos Eisley is completed.

I wasn't happy with the sandpaper ground and buildings. So I remade the buildings out of wood and covered them and the ground with sand scatter and they look loads better. They are a bit more 3D and less 2D looking.

Thanks Steve,

Yes, moisture Vaporator and my next load of issues for the Millennium Falcon had a photo of one in it with what it was.

Tatooine is coming along nicely. I didn't like my clay boulders, so I made a rocky terrain from polystyrene. And I also replace the sandpaper ground with sand scatter, both the rocks and ground Looks loads better.

There is even a hideaway in the rocks for R2.

Thanks Steve.

I've added a sandcrawler to Tatooine, or part of one at least. This was completely scratched build from wood and all sorts of odds and ends.

Tantive IV was also made using wood

Thanks for your kind comments

Today I finished off my spaceship case.

Fibre optics were fitted. Some 3mm white LED bulbs were wired up using 2 pin Jump connectors. The bulbs were connected to the fibre optic using aquarium tubing. This makes my LED serviceable.

See my Black Pearl thread for more details on how to use fibre optics viewtopic.php?f=150&t=5170&start=40

A small switch box was made and fixed along with the battery box on the outside of the case, to make switching the lights on and off as well as changing the batteries easy. I could have purchased an enclosed battery case with a built in switch, this would have been easier, but I was making good use of some old switches, battery cases and project boxes that I had laying around.

Here is the full effect before I replace the glass and hang the case on the wall.

Both display cases are now finished

Finished? ......

.......I've got some more Star War figurines which I'll be building a third case for. This won't be until I've finished some of my other projects.

A belated thanks for your kind comments and K's

Jess brought me for this years Valentines a Star Wars (Metal Earth) Darth Vader Tie Fighter.

Today I manage to find some time to build it. It didn't take too long to build as there wasn't many parts, but it was very fiddly.

Whilst going through all my post to change my photos hosting from photobucket, I came a cross this image which was originally posted on my Birthday thread (Dec 2016). I felt that it might be more appropriate if it was posted here.

It's the Metal Earth Kylo Ren shuttle kit which my daughters got me

Shuttle looks cool Roy and I love your displays  :)
I would need some new glasses to build something so small. That reminds me I need to book an eye test

Thanks builder76 & Casp

I had my eyes laser'd a good decade ago and I've got 20/20 vision for distance. It's only been the last few years building the Black Pearl, that I notice I was struggling to see things close up, last Autumn I was prescribed reading glasses, great for closeup work, but useless for distance. I've still 20/20 vision for distance and if I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to have my eye's laser'd again for reading/close up.
