This is a kit I have started and I will bring this post up to date as to where I am with it now.

I have started my 1:16 T-34/85 by Trumpeter,it is a super detailed kit and I will be adding extras, like a full PE set for interior and exterior, metal barrel and other goodies!!

Dry fit of wheels and tracks. I am not happy with the tracks so I have some metal ones coming. The suspension is fully working.

Its a shame so much is hidden when the upper hull is on, but I have made sure as many hatches and inspection panels open as possible.

Image

Image

Just a few injector marks to fill in the panels that will be seen!!!

I have made a start on some of the sub assemblies and making up some of the PE sets.

Image

Well the barrel was a pain in the ass!!! Its a Schumo barrel designed for this kit, and it didnt fit!!! I had to make a collar out of the original plastic kit part and spend 2 hours sanding it down to make it fit!!! Its done though and looks great!!

I have finished the mods to the rear transmission cover and inspection plate, now ready for primer.

The rear of the hull has now been modified to allow the rear engine cover to open. I will probably leave the other covers as a dry fit to allow me to display the engine, but I will ponder this as I go and may modify the hull some more to allow more hatches to open. The last photo is a dry fit of the PE rear panel locating plates.
