So while I wait for the oils on the Mossie to dry, I thought Id do something small a quick.

But instead of going though my ever growing stash, I found this on eBay for £18 inc p&p great price as Ive seen them going for £50+

1/32 scale Gatling Gun by Verlinden.

First up I need to remove the axle as it was fitted the wrong way round.

Image

So I managed to prise them apart with out damage.

Image

Then cleaned and refitted the correct way round.

Next I need to make a new Gun elevator pin, I could have just added a piece of brass rod.

But I decided to add the screw detail to it.

Image

Image

I also left a small piece of rod at the end where it will meet the barrel housing.

The rear of the barrel chamber was missing a small detail, so I added a small piece of plastic.

This is what is supplied to build the barrels.

Instead Ive used brass rods.

Added the centre one to get the front end fitted

Image

Then added two more for support.

Image

The others will be added once its all painted.

Final part of the build is the wheels, this is the jig to build them. Took me awhile to remove all the (I must not use naughty words) around the outside just so I could get the rims to fit.

Hubs and spokes.

Fitting the parts.

Image

There was small holes in the rims for where the spokes went, I gentle drilled these a bit bigger so the spokes would fit in them.

Nice score, and not a bad price, even started and a bit missing. I can’t work out why they didn’t cast the wheel spokes and rims in a ne piece though.
Cheers

So had a go at the wheels, base coat and and then sealed.

The left one is the base coat and the right is the one stained up.
