You just beat me to it, I've just subscribe to it, presuming it's a test run

Take a look inside issue 1

I'm not sure if the extra £1 for the premium is worth it just to get a mirrored display stand for the x-wing

Not my cup of tea but I can see people subscribing to this. I might get issues 1 and 2 just the get the R2D2 as I like him!

I'm tempted with this one, and I actually like the free gifts for a change.
Strange timing though, with R2D2 only just started. Still, they're the biggest partwork player so I guess they know what they're doing.
Cheers

I'd agree with that. You won't pay for the test issues, and you'll probably get issue 5 free as well.

That's my thinking too. Even if you don't continue beyond the Test run, you get to build a mini R2D2 in the first 4 issues ;)

It is easy to make your own mirrored display stand and probably much cheaper!

Got the first issue yesterday but didn't have time to read through it till now.
It comes with a large full scale blue print and its huge and will weigh in at 4kg when built. The stand in my opinion is a total waste of £100 and can be made just as good for £20. The binders are expensive as well at £4.99 each but You do get some nice holographic coasters.
I don't like the hinges for the canopy, for a model of this scale and price you would expect a proper hinge not a plastic clip. but thats just me being picky

she looks a great model but where to put it  it has retractable legs for displaying but would look much better on a stand at a slight angle
