Missing parts

Hello all.

We were clearing out the shed of my girlfriends grandfather who is an avid model maker with a strong interest in ships.
Among his collection we have found what I thought was a complete set of the Del Prado Bounty series.
I have decided that rather than get rid of these I would like to build the ship as it seems such a shame to let all this go.
After putting all the issues into order I have found we are missing number 87.
Furthermore, it appears that he had begun work on this as issues 1 - 9 are open. The problem is that we cannot find any of the parts that came with these first 9.
I realise this is a long shot, particularly given the age of this series, but is there anybody out there who may have these parts? Or even a partially built hull, perhaps an abandoned project?
From what I can make out it is the false keel, some ribs and half decks missing. And possibly a cannon.
I am willing to pay for these of course.
I would appreciate any help or advice on this as it looks an amazing model when completed.
Perhaps somebody even knows the spec of the parts so I could make them myself?

Thankyou

Matt

Hi Matt,

I built this ship years ago and it's a very nice model when finished, I can't help you with the missing pieces but I would keep looking on eBay.

A quick search came up with some.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... o&_sacat=0

There is one listing of a part started model hull all made for £50, but it's collection only so depends on how far away you are.

Or google and see if other forums my have someone trying to sell some issues.

If you go to crpytogem`s website they are a little bit cheaper than their ebay listing

Thanks everybody for your replies.

Looks like I'll have to go down the Ebay route then.

I think the best option for me is the one where the bow has been started at £50.
I suspect it will be a lot more than that though as that is just the starting price and he does have all the issues too.

Thanks again and I hope to be able to build this soon.
