What a shame ;) ,
I was a captain in the other site and I'm now a cadet here. I'll have to do all my way again...

Anyway i'll try to copy here my most important posts from the Bissy site... if some can be thought as important. :!:

A littre trick in deck planking.

The main problem With thin Planks is the positionning of the first one.
It tends to behave like a snail and is difficult to place strait and properly along the middle line.

So I fixed a bigger plank wrapped in food protection film to prevent the small planks from getting stuck on it.

Then I could push the first plang again the Wrapped Woodblock the second one against the first one and so on.

After 6 or 8 planks they become is à solid block and the extra wood part con be removed

At the back ground the first part partially sanded down (I wait for the brass parts to know the exact height)

I guess every one of you remember this part.

Anyway I will. This has been my summer holidays job (for modelling of course).

Hello

Just a few picts of the rear roof deck. Of course it is a lot time consumming but I feel happy with the result

The brass parts are only primed, this grey colour is obviously far too light.

Hello,

Here is my trick for the auxiliary exhausts.

I will not to use the provided rings for two major reasons.

First they look a little out of scale (too big).

Second reason Hemm!!! I carefully stored them but I absolutly can't remember where. >:( >:(

So I am using electric wire:
Soak the exaust pipe with a thin coat of fast epoxy (supposed to dry in 90 sec);
Then make à circle round it with one element of a multy strand electrical whire.

Image

Hope it will look fine

Hello,

Main job on aft superstructure is done (with some adaptations on railings, particularly on bended parts)

Image

Image

Image

As you can probably see there is a painting problem (particularly on railings).
The reason is the TAMIYA paint I began with has been unavalaible since February >:( >:(... and I'm still waiting for delivery. :'( :'(

Never mind Time now to deal with fore superstructures :)

Hello,

some tiny looking parts but not as tricky as they look.

Image

Image

I dont know yet if i'll use the railings near the catapults or not, as i have never seen them on picts or drawings
