We too missed the GTY air show, they shut all the surrounding roads and they said the only way in would be park and ride at a cost of £30+ a day. The transfer buss wouldn't be suitable for Jess and her wheelchair.

Love the original Minis. I once had a Mini Automatic, bought as a repairable write-off. My brother and I rebuilt it. For many reasons, the project had to wait for a couple of years, and the car went down hill, suffering from rusted out sills, wings, etc. Luckily parts and body panels were cheap at the time and it did get finished and resprayed. It was a gutless thing though. No where near enough power for an automatic gearbox.

Anyway, sorry for the Hijack, those Minis look fabulous!
Cheers

Hi Roy and Jess :) Some nice pics there :D I too owned an original mini back in the day but I had to write it off  the front floor pan had completely shot it, I don't think the "originals" came with "flailed arches" or such a "wide wheel base" properly fitted with "spacers" as well.
But none the less a nice example.

Mike, ;)
