We had no fireworks around here last night, I think they let them all off the last weekend in Oct.

Have a safe journey to Telford everyone. Be prepared for the great British weather systems with waterproofs, sandwiches, hot flasks of beverage with a stiffener added :D

Lancaster will be on HK models' stand by about 09:30 hrs (Hall 3 Block 3F (3C)) and I will see everyone at Number 1's Avon Stand at 12:30 (Hall 1 Block 1F (H4).

Will be very busy tomorrow packing Lancaster and securing money etc. See all the intrepid adventurers from the site there. My Journey starts at 05:30 Saturday morning and I am at the mercy of the great British railway System!

Snap the impossible!

Mark wrote:If anybody happens to see the Studio27 etched set for the Tamiya NS500 bike, please can you buy it for me. Any price up to £25. I’ll settle by PayPal or bank transfer, with postage to a U.K. address and I’ll include the price on a pint as thanks.

I believe the parts number is FP1206

I looked all over for Studio27 sets but not one to be found Mark, 1000,s of Edward but not one set for bikes. I looked everywhere for some Tamiya Panel line wash but no one had it so I went to the Tamiya stand and They said they dont make it anymore

Thanks for trying Casper. I thought I might be rather optimistic! I’ll have a look locally to see if I can find the panel line wash. Black or brown?
Cheers

Both if you find them Mark thank you. Odd what the Tamiya guy said unless I misunderstood what he said. Must of meant they didn't have any with them.
Didn't see any bike etched sets at all, lots and lots for plane and tank sets. The model air paints were cheap at a pound a bottle on one stall but they were all odd colours you would never use, I did get the Tamiya Italian Red Lacquer and the silver for the Monkey so pleased about that and a few other bits and bobs. Some of the dioramas were outstanding, I would love to go back tomorrow for another look but I'm off to see Sean the sheep with my Granddaughter :)

I got there around 9.30 and just walked right in and the venue is excellent. Parking was easy and plenty of spaces. We walked around till around 2pm and headed home, traffic news said the roads were busy and traffic was at a standstill after the heavy snow fall earlier in the day.

I did ask a few people and got some odd replies  and went to the Avon stand around twelve but with that many people walking around it was difficult to stay in one spot.

Steve, if you mean their Facebook page, then the answer is YES!

After a very busy two days including international travel on both days, (anything outside the boundaries of Yorkshire is classed as international!) pre-dawn starts and late finishes, today is very mich a rest day where I send emails, investigate gifts and delve into the new ZM kit. I have photos but I have to go through them and run them through photoshop before uploading and posting!

The HK stand was very busy and my Lancaster stood out amongst the rest on display and I answered many questions about the build and mostly about what paints I used and how I did it!

Their new 1/48 B-17g early in their latest release due late this month/December brought lots of people and many were shocked to learn it is a shrunk 1/32 kit! Exactly the same as the 1/32 kit, but smaller with changes for the early G.

Neil will be sending me one so I think it is time I had a go at an all metal paint job!  :o

The HS 129 will not be on my bench until the New Year and I can get some cockpit and metal barrels as extras sent from the other side of the world. I know you want me to start now, but extra preparation and engine research is needed if I am to put ignition harness wiring on etc. The metal barrels will be just a finishing touch, but will sharpen up the detail.

Also, masks will have to be obtained and I will look at getting some HGW seat belts and wet transfer sets I can scavenge from. There is one decal that I will have to use though! See! Plans are already forming!

Great to see Number 1 again and share a pie or two. Next year I think I will try and get some stuff from Yorksires' whiskey Distillery and our own winery down in Homefirth, Summer Wine country!
