Got the Hughes 500 kit at the weekend nice little kit for £7.

As there's a lot of perspex you can see though, I decided to add the cmk interior as it's nearer the interior of T.C's

Only small issue was while looking at the interior I ended up buying two more little birds kits as I brought two different cmk payloads so these will be done as well.

 These will be like the one's from the film Black Hawk Down.

Nice article, but 1/72 :o that's small the 1/48 is just workable :laughing-rolling:

A completely clear egg now that would be something different if you had the time to do a lot of scratch building so you could see the inside areas but would need to be 1/48  :naughty:

See he's doing the old hide the edge bit, I just use a sharpie pen so much easier. ;)

Hughes Loach Cayuse With the Y tail

Hughes 500D T tail with short legs

Hughes 500D T tail with long legs

Hughes 500D T tail with float added to the landing skids

So as you can't get the original 1/32 scale kit any more I've gone with a acadermy version 500D police and brought the civil aftermarket pack.

The remake of the series uses the Hughes 500D.

if you have THE island hoppers kit, I'm definately interested!!!!

Hi John, no I don't have the original 1/32 kit.

It's why I'm going with a 1/48 500D instead.

Plus if you could find one it would be well over priced for what you get in the kit, from what I've read about the 1/32 it wasn't that great.
