Copper Plating

I am currently revisiting the Cutty Sark and have tried unsuccessfully to fit the copper sheeting. Actually its Muntz metal which looks like Brass.

I have seen others use a form of tape and use a tool of sorts to cut/rivet etc.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

I need to know how to cut or mark the tape accurately to look like little sheets and what to use to give the impression of rivets.

Forgive me if this has been tackled elsewhere, I looked and couldn’t find that it had. According to my wife that means nothing!

Thanks Chill

I might try cutting them up. But I will have a go with copper tape first. I have found a tutorial on modelspace which just what I wanted to know.
