No matter how careful you are, you always catch the yards with your hands when rigging, especially the bowsprit assembly.
this can cause you to snap thin yards sometimes.
I use an old turntable mounted on a disc of wood to stand the model on when rigging. If you catch the yards, the boat moves around on the turntable instead of standing still and maybe snapping something. A little friction plate mounted on the side prevents the model from turning too easily under normal use.
