Yes, I think it's a very nice loco. I saw it in Arnhem when I visited my Dutch friend Julian last year, and I liked it much.
Another Dutch loco I look at is the Serie 1200 which is a museum loco already. In 2011 they were 60 years old.

I pimped my new Dutch loco a bit... After I noticed in the Netherlands that many locos have a name of a city (and a few newer Maerklin models of Dutch locos have these, too), I thought I can give a name to my loco: So now it's named "Arnhem", because I first saw it there, and I had a nice time with my friend there.
I searched for the flags on wikipedia, made them smaller and printed them on adhesive overlay.

:( I didn't get the Serie 1200 on ebay... It was gone with 155 Euros, my limit was 140.

I found one, on 'direct-sell' 10 Euros over my limit, but it doesn't matter. I think I'll buy this one tomorrow, before anyone else will get it.

My second Dutch loco arrived :) :

The Serie 1200 of the 'Nederlandse Spoorwegen' (Maerklin, model from 1972)

The special thing of this loco is the asymmetric light of the loco:

And like my Serie 1700 the 1200 also got signs on the side: The flag and emblem of the county of 'Gelderland'.
The funny thing is, I found in on the ebay site of a Dutch seller who really lives in Gelderland. But I decided for the signs because my very best friend is living there - that's why the Serie 1200 is named 'Arnhem' already :)

Just because of the dark blue the yellow print isn't that good on the loco, but I think it's ok...

One loco, three different models: The Swiss BLS loco Be 6/8, later Ae 6/8 (all models 'Roxy'):

The Swiss BLS Ae 8/8 (model by HAG), built out of two Ae 4/4 locos, for heavy freight trains on the BLS

...and some Austrian:

Austrian 1020 (ex German BR194) (model by ROCO)

These models I bought in Vienna in 1991, during the first holiday trip with my wife (at that time she wasn't my wife but my girlfriend)
