I think it's just funny to have such little 'jokes' on the layout, like that scene with the Corvette or the teenagers. Maybe some things are just youth memories?

For the entrance of the factory I found something special to make it a bit more colourful...

Maybe you already know it - I'm always good for small details in the background. Will say you see them at second sight... Like the office furniture in the engine shed offices.

Of course you first have to colour the pieces...

Thank you.
Yes, the office is "60s/70s style", because it's an steam engine shed. So the typing machines are the right thing there. Computers would be wrong at that time...

Love the drawing boards too. Reminds me of my college days. No computers back then either....   (Well, not in common use anyway !)

It's a very well behaved office - nice to see that everybody is properly dressed :laughing-rolling:
Cheers

Oh, you know, there are several different details on my layout. But after being warned about posting these things I'm much more careful

It's such a pity that english people are so prude and everything has to be censored...

Working on a steam engine is a very dirty job, so you need a shower after work.
I had the idea to create a bath room with showers for the train drivers and firemen...
