Thanks Steve,

Some of the kits have been discontinued for a good few years now, but you can still find them floating around on the internet and e-bay if you search for them internationally and also on the German Ebay (but do check with seller first to find out if they send to the UK and if accept paypal, also use google translate to message, http://www.ebay.de/ search Faller Kirmes).

All these kits listed below as seen on my previous Dioramas (see earlier posts) are also discontinued

Faller Ghost temple #140427
Faller Indiago #438
Faller Hammer and WC #323
Coaster Dynamix Rollercoaster The Comet (Designed and made by Coaster Dynamix but Faller also market it as Faller #380100)
Faller#442 Windmill potato bar

I recently found our that the Faller Wild Mouse was discontinued. So I had to find one before they all sell out. I found one off ebay from Holland

Image

Image

Even though it arrived sealed, there was essential parts missing. This wasn't the sellers fault. The box was factory sealed.

Image

I've contacted the seller who was very helpful and I've also contacted Faller direct. It took a good few weeks before Faller could confirm that they had the parts and that they will be sent to me soon.

In all fairness, Faller customer service is usually good, however I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.

Could you make them from Evergreen strips if necessary?
(It is evergreen who do the strips of various shaped polystyrene isn’t it?)

Thanks Mark, I'm sure that I'll be able to make the missing parts, but I will be way off for the actual dimensions required. As a working model, the correct dimensions could mean the difference between the model working or not.

This morning the missing parts arrived :D

ImageHOFF Fri 9 March 18 1 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

A few days ago, I made a start on the model, this is as far as I could do with the missing parts

ImageHOFF Wed 7 March 18 2 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

And today I fitted the missing parts, now that's better

ImageHOFF Wed 7 March 18 3 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

No the model is ready to fit the track

So am I Mark :D

The track has been fitted, which was a slow process to ensure that the joins were neatly fitted so that the cars don't slow down and stall.

The lift hill has been fitted and all tested with the car chassis. Half way through the build, at this stage, loads more still to do.

ImageSAM_5744 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

The flags on the lift hill were fitted and the start of the station beginning to be built.

ImageSAM_5751 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

The pay booths and photo booths are partly fitted along with the brass fencing.

ImageSAM_5754 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

ImageSAM_5757 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

ImageSAM_5758 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

The side fencing half fitted, just found out that the other half of the spru to do the fencing are missing from the kit, so I will need to contact Faller to see if they can send me the missing spru or I can quiet easily make these as a last resort.

ImageSAM_5762 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

Still a lot more to do

It's not too big,

I've manage to finish what I can for now. I need to order some bulbs to illuminate the ride. I've just emailed Faller about the other missing sprue and now awaiting a response.

The kiosk are now finished.

ImageSAM_5806 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

ImageSAM_5809 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

The stairs were made and now in place

ImageSAM_5810 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

The lamp are fitted out side the front of the station and also beside the station

ImageSAM_5812 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

One of the car's chassis were in pieces when it arrived. It took some doing to repair and the roller wheels kept coming off, so I had to carefully glue the plastic plug in that kept falling out. Also one of the huger wheels had came away too. Also a spring needed to be refitted too.

ImageSAM_5799 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

All fixed now

ImageSAM_5801 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

One of the cars main body was also snapped. It's not unusual for Faller parts to arrive broken in the sealed boxes, again this was a simple fix

ImageSAM_5802 by Roy Lee, on Flickr

The cars all made up with the hand rails and seats. I left the lap bars off until a later date when I will fit the people in first.

Apart from adding a couple of light bulbs and the lap bars which I will do once I build the display case, the model is now finished
