Oh by the way, did I mention that the second photo is of the real life size ride that the model is based on?

I used to ride the boneshaker energizer at Alton Towers when they had one. Great ride :D

I took the video in the Kitchen. The models are no where as noisy as they sound in the video. In fact once the glass are in place, they are barely audible. There rides are also not as erratic as they appear in the Video. The glass has now been clean and in place and I've a purpose made stand in the bedroom which is where it is now proudly on display. Next to my Star Wars figures and space ship display. I'm very proud of these.

Thanks for your kind comments. I'm hoping to get diorama number 9 finished today. Before I do, just a little info on my previous diorama. The ghost temple cars travel the full length of all three level of the track. In the model you can see right into the ride through the front arches the inner track. So to block this view, a few years agi I lined the inside with black card blocking off the inner workings from the front.

The pathways are painted with Johnstone's Steel Smoke paint. I gave it three layers and then once it dried, to give it a concrete effect, I then smeared talon powder over it.

I think I finished my Diorama number 9. I say I think as I might add some more bushes and trees at a later date.

This one contains

Coaster Dynamix Rollercoaster The Comet (Designed and made by Coaster Dynamix but Faller also market it as Faller #380100)
Faller#140475 Gun Salloon
Faller#442 Windmill potato bar
I also added some faller hedging to make a maze, I even place a bench in the middle of the maze with a lamp for people to sit down and to illuminate the maze.

This is got to be my favourite Faller fairground ride Diorama so far :D So enjoy

Back in June I started on plan 3, all the rides have been fitted and are all working. It's not finished yet as I plan to add some more figures. I've not had a chance to post pics of progress on here due to the floods back in June. So yesterday I manage to take some photos

I'll take some close up photos and video once I've finished the Diorama.

I also manage to start on one of my rides (Swing boats). This will be added to my plan 2 which I will build a display cabinet for, hopefully next summer.

Thanks Casp,

Octopus fairground set.

Image

This will go on the same diorama (Plan 3) as the swing boats

The complete set built

Working octopus ride

Image

Ring toss game booth

Image

Corn on the cob food outlet booth

Image

WC, I've already made one of these for one of my earlier diorama number 5 (see earlier post), this was lined inside with black card to stop light seepage from the light bulb fitted inside.

Image

The kit also came with some fences, I might not use these, the decor on these have not stuck properly, which is quiet normal for the fences, so I will re-a line the decor and use super glue to fix these at a later date.
