DARJEELING HIMALAYAN RAILWAY 7MM

Postby MODENAMAN » Sat Jul 11, 2015 11:17 am

After seeing this incredible and very old railway on TV documentaries - I am going to have a go at a 7mm scale model layout, 1/43rd scale. It is narrow gauge and has 2 foot gauge track. Modelling it in 7mm/foot it can run on 00 track (16.5mm gauge) as a compromse, but I have decided to be accurate and hand build 14mm track ( sadly not commercially available easily ), though I may contract out the building of the points - they are a challenge.
Just got a brass waggon kit to test the water, plus a brass locomotive kit to do afterwards- early days as I am new to brass kits.
Will update as things progress.
