nah, I might have mixed up messrs walkinshaw and tullius -
of course the group 44 racing roadster is the correct car...

so far......
but I haven't bought a single cat in the last few months,
even not the one that tempted me very much (a yellow mint kit that had a missing bonnet) and that went rather cheaply...

and NO, I won't be doing the hearse :? either

whatever status they have paul,
the list contains 5 - more would require buying more...

besides, these 5 + 4 astons is by far enough for the near future,
not mentioning the rest of the list in my signature + some 190 other aston kits that need to be built :shifty:

Hum Aston's,

We'll have to check with Mark as to how long your signature can be then, as I'm sure that you'll add a lot more in the new year (well hopefully!) :)

well, paul, you might have been right,
another e-type (at least most of it...) surfaced here, lost count of the numbers and need to see which variations could be possible -
a group 44 v12 image is on the wall...

the bleach works on our e-types as well - around 2 hours on most parts - a quick brush with soap will remove the rest...

hehe, try soaking the metal parts  I thought I'll give the plastic parts a try before I remove the spokes...

and on an e-type matter - I need to make up a device to remove the spokes...

now, pay attention JB,

as it was fab weather and bbq on the schedule, what else could be done in the garden than this:

Image Image
cut out another hatch which is almost a boringly easy task in the meantime - you will also see that I've been busy with the bonnet ->
cut off the brightwork as I'd like to fix a chromed fillet onto the painted part rather than putting up with the foil,
also there'll soon be some drawing and planning + etching going on as the holes will be filled with etched louvres...

you thought I'd be without any work while waiting for vital db5 parts to arrive?

more micro news on the e-type:

Image Image
as you might recall, original plastic part has been cut out - far too thick though to be of any use -
so a new piece has been made from 0,2 mm nickel silver - like it much more, should make a hinge as well...

Nice work astons
Petrol flap looks nice, is the nickel silver nice to work with astons, is it fairly soft.

thank you and yes casp, it's softer than brass - the piece is actually a part of the "sprue" of etchings which I always keep for "recycling",
you'll see that once I've made up a thread on etching...
