Hum, I started this yesterday and realised that I cut the leather a bit too short, so I've had to stretch it a bit on the next :superlglue: & hope that then it will be all ok ......

Heck,

I've not done anything on the Cat now for over 10 days

Hopefully I'll finish off the DB5 drivers door panel this week, so I can get back on the case !

Can you think of any more fantastic accessories Paul like the golf cart or back pack. They are superb m8. Would love to see more. :D I have a great fire extinguisher that is from a doll house I may modify.

Hi Casp, Little Nellie is on hold at the moment, as I'll need to poly cement a bit that I broke

I'll start a new post on the DB part of the forum about the accessories - not too sure what we can do that way with the Cat ...... yet! :)

I think that a lot of trimming will need to be done before any fitting, but I think that it's always better to put more on, rather than trying to add extra at a later date:

I've had a look back on the above and think that I'll leave it as is, as I don't wont to mess it all up

Hi Paul,
You did a great job on the carpet m8 :) ,
:?: At what end did you start to glue the leather down. The reason i ask is when i get to the wheel arch i have a fold near the bottom and dont really want to cut it if i can help it.

Oh heck Casp I think that I started at the flatter end.....

I glued that in position first, and thought that if I couldn't stretch the carpet enough, then I could have done the wheel arches separately.

But as it happens, it was then fine to stretch over.

NB - I did need the glue on the base to almost set first before doing the above.

I hope this helps :)

you would be fine m8,
if you make a mistake just sand it and do it again.
I have had to do the doors again, i thought they were dry and lay them down and just the weight of them made a few marks in the paint finish. Just a light sand and quick re-coat and good as new. :)
not looking forward to the joins on the body. the front was bad enough. you just have to go for it though and hope you get it right first time.
I have not done anything on the Herald yet. Too busy at the moment. Looks a great little kit though.
