Main top body parts! I know its 1/8th and the same scale as the Pochers and Aston but it does look big! I dont know if its true but I did hear a rumour that it is actually just slghtly bigger than 1/8th! Does anyone have any further information on this!

Not heard that one before, but you could always buy another 7 kits and line them up against a real E type :laughing-rolling:
Or you could use a ruler and calculator, but that would be boring ;)

some say yes john, on the other hand, i know the engine is too small, didn't yet come to measuring the car for overall dimensions,
but it's easy, as it's a series 1 and measures are available on the net - maybe I should do it because I own a 500mm caliper so I can measure the width in one easy sweep...

I had a feeling it was not quite 1/8th scale! Still it will look good sitting next to the Aston Martin!

Bought some 1/8th scale chrome acorn nuts to detail engine and other parts! Cost £12.95 for 35. Not a bad price! Will use them especialy on the top of engine where the spark plugs are as the nuts are moulded! Will look much better!

Hi John,

I'm afraid that I've only got as far as doing the engine block and some leathering with my older kit

The acorn nuts really add to the engine though, also both Julian and Casp have done excellent builds with their cats, so well worth reading through their build diaries. :) :)

Hi John,

Is there much flash on the bodywork with this version? :)

Hi Paul! Suprisingly no! There are the usual mould lines and the kit will need some slight indents filled in but overall it's pretty clean for a kit of its age!
