Good piece of detective work. Let's hope the repairs go well.

Seems this is'nt the only tiffy that was heading for the bin, on another site I have seen that there could be fit problems if parts are painted before assembly, the thickness of the paint affecting the tight fit of the parts leading to gaps and missalignment.
Builders beware!

Looks like the tolerances on this kit are like Zoukei Mura and Wingnut Wings kits, very very fine so paint and joins is a no-no!

That's right, also parts around the engine are also a very tight fit, not only to where they go but just getting them there too!.

My advice. Spend a week with the instructions first. Stock up on masking tape of all widths and shapes you will get though it. and once the cylinder block is on the frame work from the underside up and have the radiator pre done so you can dry fit it in place to make sure that all the connections line up as they go on!

The Tiffy will be going to a good home and hopefully Mustang will be able to rebuild and repair.... just like they did to the real thing!

I will be getting another Tiffy kit and starting again, but I need to rebuild my energy and bring the anxiety, frustration and :angry-banghead: levels down to tolerance levels.

The fault is mine, NOT the kits. I did say that this would be a learning experience and so it has been very much and I have learned a lot from it. In other words, how to build it without the problems caused by the instruction sequence.

To use some song lyrics... "To know when to walk away, and know when to run!" :laughing-rolling:

I have been following this build, and I am gutted for you that you had a problem, but glad to see it was saved from the bin. Will be watching to see your next Tiffy build. You deserve a K for your patience!
