1/72 scale S-Boat Diorama

Postby maximus2012 » Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:40 am

While waiting for parts for my U-96 and the Black Pearl, I dug out my old Airfix Kit of the early type S-Boat and created a small diorama. Still need moore work, a shed, guardhouse couple of veicles, figures and barrels boxes and crates. Have not done a diorama with a ship that was not wrecked for a long time. Hope you all like it. Apart from the kit, the base is a glazed picture frame (Painted the glass from underneath, packing foam, timbers from the spare department and soil from the garden.)

Fair bit of flash on it, otherwise not to bad taking in conderation the age of that kit and the fact (Typical Airfix) the don`t think about cleaning or updating the molds of older kits.

Only done 2 sheds today, to cold to sit outside, still need roofs putting on and painting/weathering. Thanks for the "K"

Thanks everybody, had the kit for many many years partley started. I think I paid 11.99 for it then, so the whole diorama with car and figures cost me just over 30 quid. It was fun doing it , but with diorama you never finish, the more you look at it, than you want to add a few more items to it.
