Sanding sticks and sand paper

Just a quick tip on sanding using sanding sticks or wet and dry sandpaper. Always use it wet.

This serves two purposes. The water washes away the sanding dust, which makes the process quicker as it stops the sanding stock/paper getting clogged. It also makes the sticks/paper last a lot longer. Oh, and you get a smoother finish too.

I keep an old yoghurt tub of water on the bench all the time. Serves for sanding and washing brushes, but the water does get changed in between !
