Partworker & Petrolhead...

Postby Citroenesque » Tue Feb 20, 2018 3:03 pm

Hi all,

My name's Phil Chidlow and I have a relatively long history of involvement in things car, publishing, clubs and modelling. Working with Eaglemoss primarily, I have been responsible for the graphics on a few model-build projects you may well be familiar with, including a T-34 Build, Renault 8 Gordini, Alpine Renault 1600S, Caterham, Renault 12/Dacia 1300S, and others which are in development (so I can't say)...

I am keen to start a build of one of my favourites ( ;) watch this space)...

I am also on the Board of the Citroen Car Club in the UK, as well as organise classic car road trips on the Continent.

Although it's been a while I used to enjoy model-making Tamiya kits (mainly AFVs but also the odd Race/Rally car) but sadly lost ALL of my models in a house move to France in 2001. (I hope the person who 'borrowed' them appreciated the hard work I'd put into them)....

I returned to the UK a couple of years later but had already caught FCD (French Car Disease) so soon got hooked on Citroens - especially the BX - which is pretty close to being a life-sized plastic kit....

Attached is an early layout for the Gordini (it was actually sold in France - hence dummy text :) )

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum, couldn't you twist a few arms and suggest Eaglemoss produce some British Motorcycle partworks? ;)

Well, I don’t know what influence I might have but it’s worth suggesting... you never know!
